welcome to mylittleholiday!

Welcome to mylittleholiday, a place where grown ups can share honest experiences about our holidays with our precious bundles of joy (little or not so little).

our little mission...

mylittleholiday hopes to extend the joy of holidays with kids by taking away (some of) the stress of finding a holiday with your little ones.

cut to the chase!

No more trawling the web for looong hours, sometimes days, to find child friendly places to stay. No more cursing glitzy holiday brochures or websites for tricking you into thinking that the property they are flogging is child friendly (e.g. tutting and frowning staff just makes you wish you were home sooner). Simply providing a travel cot and high chair does not qualify as being family friendly, in our opinion anyway.

We’ve found that word of mouth is the best (general principle that works really well for other stuff as well). The best holidays we’ve had since sprouting mini-me’s were to places that our other friends with babies or children have recommended. Or ones where we have chanced upon that were not marketed under the obvious family-friendly banner.

share your story

To all our fellow grown-ups with babies/toddlers/children – please come and share your little holiday stories with us. Good or bad - all travel reviews are welcome. We want to hear it all. So that we can collectively help each other avoid the nasty un-child friendly places (or at least, save it for when you can ditch the kids with grandparents/nanny/unsuspecting fellow grown up and return as grown ups sans kids) and share gems where we can go and have a fun and relaxing time with our munchkins.

We welcome travel reviews of all types of accommodation, from hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, self catering villas/apartments to campsites or anything else! All travel tips are welcome.

Family time at Coworth Park

coworth kids

There is a seriously good spa at this splendid Dorchester-in-the-country retreat. Lovely parkland for walks, horse riding and other distractions, and they claim they welcome kids. When my little holiday visited sans enfants, we did see a few families with kids ranging from babe in arms to pre teens, all looked fairly happy... Wonder what their true experience was.... In any event Coworth Park are currently offering two interconnecting rooms for the price of one (£495 per night for interconnecting stable rooms). Check them out at www.coworthpark.com
